This workshop, held at the UVSQ during October 2012, interfaced Climate KIC Education and Innovation project partners, with international invited guests and a diversity of local actors of the Versailles St-Quentin-en-Yvelines “Urban Living Lab” focused on eco-innovations. The “Proceedings” as a whole are the product of an experimental collaborative learning exercise that has exploited several functions and features of the “KICE” system:
- The proceedings are, in French and English versions, composed as online teaching resources with a sequencing of grains for each of the Workshop Sessions
- Videos of the Workshop Sessions are made available as cross-referenced hyperlinks
- Short reports/discussions of each workshop session are provided in the format of “Current Events” articles posted on the REEDS “Newsreels” (which is a prototype of the concepts being implemented for the “Climate Café” including various galleries for News, Announcements, Innovations Ideas
- These “Current Events” articles were drafted by students of two of the UVSQ Masters programmes accredited with the “Climate KIC” label: Managing Eco-Innovation (in English) and Mediation de Connaissances Environnementales (in French), making use of the Weconext Collaborative Work Platform already exploited during the 2012 summer by Climate KIC students on “theJourney”.
The task of referencing, documenting and managing the videos and other ‘components’ of the Proceedings, is a test case for the exploitation of Cataloguing, Access-management and Search functions developed for the KICE system in collaboration with Weconext, QWAM and the UVSQ’s Bibliothèque Universitaire.
