Greening the Science Park Utrecht is a joint initiative of the knowledge institutes present at the campus. The leading organisations are:
These knowledge institutes are committed to fulfilling its social responsibility in the area of sustainability and to making active contributions to address not only the ecological dimension, but also economic and social aspects.
Sharing scientific knowledge plays an important part in this, as do our efforts to set an inspiring example – always guided by the principle of seeking a sound balance between People, Planet and Profit.
Study programmes are also shining a spotlight on sustainability. In addition, they focus explicitly on sustainability in relation to knowledge valorisation and operations.

The Science Park Utrecht works closely together with the Economic Board Utrecht, in which all key stakeholders participate (such as municipality of Utrecht and Amersfoort, the province of Utrecht, major companies, knowledge institutes and engineering/consultancy firms).
The participants of Greening the Campus have close cooperation with the municipality of Utrecht and major companies.
The various knowledge institutes on and around the campus are the main stakeholders to promote sustainable innovations (viz. Deltares, TNO, RIVM, KNMI, Ecofys, various engineering companies, KWR, UU, HU).
