Samir ALLAL is a Senior Lecturer in economics at the UVSQ (now a part of the Université Paris Saclay) and is a specialist in economics, politics and energy.  

He currently occupies the position of Director of the IUT de Mantes-en-Yvelines (UVSQ).  He is also Director of the Public Interest Group for Public Innovation Transfer of Technology from the Mecatronic Technology Platform of Mantes-en-Yvelines (GIP ITT) and for many years was responsible for the REEDS on-site research team based at the IUT de Mantes en Yvelines. He manages the professional M2 MASTER programme "Economic Analysis and Governance of Risks" (AEGR) which is a component of the larger GETEDELO Master's programme within the Université Paris Saclay.  Since 1995 he has been a leader for the international development of the UVSQ with partnerships from the Mediterranean and French-speaking world.  At present he is Vice-President of the Euro-Mediterranean Association for Mastery of Risk, and President of the Mediterranean University summer school programme (UMET / Méditep): a type 2 partnership initiative certified by the United Nations.
