Marie-Françoise GUYONNAUD is Director of Fondaterra, European Foundation for Sustainable Territories. She is in part telecommunication engineer and part environmental economist. After more than 14 years expe-rience in the organisation and leading companies (Bosch, PPG Boussois, Bossard Consultants, Vivendi), Marie-Francoise Guyonnaud is developing Fondaterra as an original and multidisciplinary “cluster”; a true repository for innovations on sustainable development irrigating territorial economics and bringing together 80 members. Fondaterra’s goal is to put together a European interdisciplinary centre of excellence for research and partnerships for sustainability in a territorial perspective. Established through the alliance of higher education, research institutes, private companies, educational organisations, publicly owned companies and territorial administrations multiple scattered competencies favouring inter-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder projects.
