Eberhard FALCK is a specialist in radioactive waste management, environmental governance and risk assessment. Following his studies in applied geology at the University of Kiel (Germany) and the ETH Zürich (Switzerland) he obtained a PhD in geochemistry from the Technical University Darmstadt (Germany). His professional career began with the British Geological Survey (UK), as a consultant in Italy. On his return to Germany he worked for a British company as an independent. From 1999 to 2006 he held an appointment at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Vienna, where he was responsible for the rehabilitation programme for radioactively contaminated sites. From 2006 to 2009 he worked as an energy systems and radioactive waste management specialist for the European Commission at their Joint Research Centre in Petten (The Netherlands). He also advises the OECD-Nuclear Energy Agency in Paris. He rejoined REEDS in 2009 and joined the UVSQ as an associate professor. He teaches in various master programmes: MSETE, MAEGER, Eco-innovation and MSAR.
