Idrissa O. KANE, has a Master degree in Geography, majoring in the environment and management of natural resources from the UGB de Saint-Louis/Sénégal, a Master GIDEL (Integrated Management and Sustainable Development of Coastal Spaces) at the UCAD/Senegal, then a Master in Master in Environmental Knowledge Mediation, Partnerships for Sustainable Development from the UVSQ. He had an internship at the International Foundation of the Banc d’Arguin à l’UICN/Dakar where he was, at the same time, researcher and programme assistant on the Aires Protected Marine Areas en West Africa. An internship at REEDS provided involvement in the European project THESEUS on « Innovative coastal technologies for safer European coasts in a changing climate ». His thesis work, under the direction of Jean Paul VANDERLINDEN, subscribes to a logistical improve-ment of these problems from the angle of sustainable towns and social eco-innovation in the management of coastal risks.
