The project aims at putting in place a programme of excellence bringing together knowledge, thoughts, initiatives and institutions working on energy transition, energy and sustainable territories. It is therefore a means of producing a platform of common knowledge in a transversal logical sequence guaranteeing the optimisation, consultation and sharing between and in complete coherence with territorial development on the one hand, and the principle of convergence of interest in energy matters in the Mediterranean basin on the other.
Create a dynamic dialogue. Transferring and sharing expertise in the field of energy, between experts, those responsible for public and private sustainable energy policies in the Mediterranean, decision-makers and economic stakeholders (operators, consumers), local, national and Euro-Mediterraneans.
Mobilise and education stakeholders capable of detecting and recommending solutions to markets, creating or launching and accompanying innovation and business-creation.
Encourage and accompany pluridisciplinary research/action in networks involved in energy issues in the Mediterranean context by hosting a forum on regional potential, bringing alternative scenarios to life and deeping pending questions to kindle new research and teaching themes.
The platform will encourage and accompany dialogue, elaboration of Euro-Mediterranean initiatives, the education and research/action in a pluri-disciplinary and multi-competence orientation (universities, politicians, industry, other decision-makers and practitioners) on the strategic orientations envisaged and or envisaged in energy matters in the Mediterranean basin (infrastructures and towns, energy efficiency and restraint, the place of gas in the energy mix).
Creation of a think tank, from a summer university and online teaching resources.
Project in the Ile de France region calling for a new impetus to its international policies towards countries along the south coast of the Mediterranean.
