div/R emerges from the need to structure interdisciplinary knowledge in order to facilitate its usage by a diversity of stakeholders on various biodiversity issues. It relies on previous and ongoing studies on collaborative learning and intends to make the best use of current web technologies and more particularly their social features. div/R is also meant as a mean to help explore the interaction possibilities offered by various platforms, from smartphones to devices such as DIGISCOPE nodes through Personal Computers, and better understand how these technologies may affect the way we deal with post-normal issues. div/R will also be used as an experimental device for monitoring collaborative processes.
