An international Symposium on Ecological Debt took place in Paris on November 7th. It gathered international experts on the subject, as well as speakers from different countries. Several members of EJOLT, an international project on Environmental Justice Organisations, Liabilities and Trade in which REEDS participates, were participating, including two keynote speakers : Leida Rijnhout (ANPED) and Esperanza Martinez (Accion Ecologica).

La thèse en Economie Ecologique de Richard Loiret (début : mai 2010) : Valeur(s) de l'Ecodéveloppement, part de constats reliés systémiquement à plusieurs échelles conceptuelles de problématiques. Les questions se posent actuellement ainsi, chaque réponse résolvant ou non partie des questions des autres niveaux. NI : Comment territorialiser le passif de l'empreinte écologique nationale ? NII : Comment mesurer l'actif des territoires "naturels", ou biodiversité ? NIII : Existe t-il une contradiction au principe de Carnot ? Et si oui laquelle ? REEDS International Centre for Research in Ecological Economics, Eco-innovation and Tool Development for Sustainability is a key player in a major European project to assist environmental justice organisations to develop assessment tools and scientific methodologies in the struggle for environmental justice. In particular, REEDS will be providing assistance in the areas of nuclear energy, oil and gas extraction and climate change, environmentl health and risk assessment, liabilities and valuation.
