Basé sur plus d'un an de recherche, cet ouvrage présente les enjeux éthiques et économiques du partage des savoirs liés à la biodiversité, du niveau local (peuples indigènes et locaux), au marché international des ingrédients alimentaires et cosmétiques. Il présente plusieurs études de cas contrastées en Amérique du Sud et en Afrique australe, ainsi qu'une évaluation des systèmes de certification éthique et environnementaux autour de ces enjeux émergents.

Il s'agit d'une thèse en co-tutelle avec le "Center for the Study of the Sciences and the Humanities" de l'Université de Bergen (co-directeur Roger Strand).

La thèse en Economie Ecologique de Richard Loiret (début : mai 2010) : Valeur(s) de l'Ecodéveloppement, part de constats reliés systémiquement à plusieurs échelles conceptuelles de problématiques. Les questions se posent actuellement ainsi, chaque réponse résolvant ou non partie des questions des autres niveaux. NI : Comment territorialiser le passif de l'empreinte écologique nationale ? NII : Comment mesurer l'actif des territoires "naturels", ou biodiversité ? NIII : Existe t-il une contradiction au principe de Carnot ? Et si oui laquelle ? The conference SRMining (Social Responsibility in Mining) was held from 19 to 20 October 2011 in Santiago de Chile. Climate-KIC, the Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC), is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) to drive innovation in the area of climate change through integrated and creative partnerships between business, academic and public institutions. Launched in December 2009, just one week after the 15th session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties in Copenhagen.
