L'AFEP, Association Française d'Economie Politique co-organise au sein du CLERSE, le prochain congrès de l'association "Ecological Economics" (branche européenne). Cette association internationale présente la caractéristique d'être très interdisciplinaire et, autour de la thématique de l'écologie, d'appuyer tout particulièrement les travaux de sciences sociales au sens large et relevant de l'approche institutionnaliste. C'est le thème que l’AFEP met en avant pour ce congrès qui sera donc très "pluriel" et très sensible à la diversité des approches.

Le mercredi 5 septembre s'est tenu à Par is, , Jussieu, la finale de l'école d'été KIC-CLimat 2012. Pendant toute la journée des groupes d'étudiants ont présenté leur idée de création de Stuart-up innovantes devant un Jury international composé d'experts en sciences et business.

Several members of REEDS (the project team for EJOLT) attended meetings and presentations in Rio de Janeiro on environmental justice conflicts. The psychological effects on children of environmental destruction was highlighted, as were issues of land-grabbing, uranium mining, oil and gas extraction, waste and ship-breaking, nuclear energy and climate change.

The UVSQ and Albion College, Michigan have signed an agreement and are working together to implement two new study options for Albion College Students : a Major in Sustainability Studies for their Bachelor of Arts degree offer as well as a one year course based at the UVSQ culminating in a Certificate of Sustainability Studies.
