Le 18 octobre 2012 lors de la conférence internationale ‘ecocities – the cities of the future’ se déroulant à l’Université Versailles Saint-Quentin (UVSQ), ont été présentés trois exemples d’applications d’une transition vers un paradigme centré autour du développement durable. La ville de Grand Rapids aux Etats-Unis, la vision de la Chine ainsi que le campus de l’UVSQ. Bien que les visions aient des approches plurielles, elles nous montrent des initiatives locales et globales concrètes pour une transition vers un monde plus soutenable.

Several members of REEDS (the project team for EJOLT) attended meetings and presentations in Rio de Janeiro on environmental justice conflicts. The psychological effects on children of environmental destruction was highlighted, as were issues of land-grabbing, uranium mining, oil and gas extraction, waste and ship-breaking, nuclear energy and climate change.

Le premier juin 2012, nous avons accueilli Zhiwei ZHU qui est en formation « Master 2 Médiation des Connaissances Environnementales », comme stagiaire. Il s’est installé dans l’Observation de Versailles St-Quentin-en-Yvelines à Guyancourt pour le projet « CO2 Mega Paris ». Dans le cadre de stage, il va développer ses compétences des approches participatives associées aux connaissances de médiation

Il s'agit des titre suivants: -- "Interdisciplinarité et outils réflexifs : vers une approche globale des trames vertes urbaines," par Anne Blanchard et Jean-Paul Vanderlinden -- et de -- "Structuration novatrice de la recherche interdisciplinaire sur les changements climatiques, une expérience francilienne," un avant-propos par Jean-Paul Vanderlinden, Chantal Pacteau, Sylvie Joussaume et Nathalie Blanc.
